The Neighborhood Gardens Trust is working with the new Philadelphia Land Bank to support their shared goals around the development and preservation of urban agriculture and open space. The Land Bank board recently authorized a contract with NGT to assist in the review and assessment of the City’s current expressions of interest for community gardens, and to research existing gardens that are operating on city-owned property. This partnership is an important step in the process of improving legal access for community gardens on city-owned land in Philadelphia.
