NGT Executive Director Jenny Greenberg presented on May 19, 2015 at the Reclaiming Vacant Properties Conference, organized by the Center for Community Progress in Detroit, MI. Jenny participated in a panel discussion entitled “Understanding Landscapes: New Tools for Fighting Urban Vacancy”, along with PHS’ Bob Grossman, Senior Director of Landscape Management and Jeff Barg, Associate Director of Planning and External Policy Affairs, as well as representatives of Detroit Future City and the New Orleans Redevelopment Authority. Jenny highlighted NGT’s work to preserve community-managed open spaces as vital elements of a healthy and livable city.
