NGT will celebrate Philadelphia’s second annual citywide Community Gardens Day on Saturday, June 20, 2015. Community gardens and pocket parks throughout the city will welcome visitors to an array of free activities highlighting the benefits of preserving and supporting community gardens and open spaces. This year, 45 gardens across Philadelphia will participate in Community Gardens Day. Participating gardens will be open between the hours of 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. and will host tours, demos, work days, family activities, and other special programs. NGT and Hidden City Philadelphia are also planning a Community Gardens Day Bike Tour which will visit four special and unique Philadelphia community gardens as well as the PHS Pop Up Garden at 15th and South Street. For more information and to register, click here.
